Satbir Singh Malhi is an author whose work spans psychological thrillers, cultural stories, and multilingual books inspired by language, history, and human experience.
He grew up in the village of Tharu in Tarn Taran district, Punjab, and moved to the United States in 2011. He holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Kansas and has spent his professional career working in mathematics, statistics, and data science.

In his psychological thrillers, Satbir draws on concepts from graph theory, causal inference, probability, and mathematical modeling to construct intricate connections between characters, events, motives, and consequences. Rather than using mathematics simply as a subject within his stories, he uses mathematical ideas as a framework for developing plots and exploring how seemingly unrelated events can be connected.

How It Began
Satbir began writing after the birth of his daughter, Inara. Wanting her to grow up connected to Punjabi language and culture, he created multilingual books combining Punjabi in Gurmukhi, Roman transliteration, and English. His work has since expanded into novels, including psychological thrillers, as well as stories inspired by Punjabi history, culture, and real events.
He publishes under Inara Library and lives in California with his family. Through his writing, Satbir brings together mathematics, human psychology, culture, and storytelling to create stories that challenge readers to see connections they might otherwise miss.
